Animaterra, a Keene-based women’s chorus with up to 50 members, has just released a new CD titled Pax in Terra/Peace on Earth. The work is a compilation of winter songs with themes of peace and holiday warmth. Recorded at many previous concerts, it reflects the group’s eight and a half years of bringing folk music from all over the world to the Keene area. The work offers 28 selections plus a “special bonus track,” according to Director Allison Aldrich. Guest performers, including Allouette Iselin and Carol Compton, are also featured. The CD’s will be available at various retail outlets in the Keene area. Its release will be celebrated at Animaterra’s annual winter concert on Friday, December 9th and Saturday, December 10th, 7:30 p.m. at the Keene Unitarian Universalist Church, 69 Washington Street. A portion of the proceeds from the concert, titled “Light One Candle,” will benefit the Keene Community Kitchen
